The standard training session for GP surgeries and clinics covers BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) skills, managing an ANAPHYLAXIS emergency, explaining EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT (oxygen, airway adjuncts and drugs), and the USE OF THE AED.

|
|
For dentist surgeries we also cover COMMON MEDICAL EMERGENCIES in accordance with the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines 2006; including asthma, choking, diabetes, asthma, fainting, epilepsy and myocardial infarction.

|
|
The trainer comes to the surgery at a time that causes least disruption to your working day and clients.
|
|
|
|
The trainer provides all equipment needed for training and practice.
|
|
|
|
Each participant would need to demonstrate competent BLS on a manikin.
|
|
|
|
Each session is restricted to 10 participants per 1 trainer.
|
|
|
|
The training is geared towards all members of staff including non-medical and administration and counts towards QOF points.
|
|
|
|
The trainer will provide handouts and certificates for each participant.
